A series of events dedicated to Latin America, aimed at promoting the Continent in the Roman territory.

A cultural bridge between Rome and the great Latino creative force. This sense of the first edition of “Primavera Latinoamericana” (Latin American Spring) promoted by Roma Capitale and IILA - Istituto Italo – Latino Americano, in collaboration with the embassies of the member countries, and organized by Zètema Progetto Cultura.

- 20 IILA member countries participating: Argentina, Bolivia, Brazil, Chile, Colombia, Costa Rica, Cuba, Ecuador, El Salvador, Guatemala, Haiti, Honduras, Mexico, Nicaragua, Panama, Paraguay, Peru, Dominican Republic, Uruguay, Venezuela.
- 2 months program, from 28 March to 23 May.
- 4 spaces: Casa del Cinema, La Pelanda, Centrale Montemartini, IILA - Istituto Italo-Latino Americano.
- 44 events dedicated to cinema, art, music, meetings.

Cinema - “El cine latino”, a Latin American film festival curated by Rodrigo Diaz, Director of the Latin American Film Festival of Trieste, presents a rich and exciting program, from March 28 to April 2, at the Casa del Cinema..

Talks - “Latin America: a protagonist of the XXI century”: a series of five meetings, from March 28 until May 23, is organized and hosted by the IILA - Istituto Italo-Latino Americano, sees the presence of four Ambassadors of Latin America and a representative of Italian Institutions. Meetings and discussions to enhance the integration of their respective cultures.

Art - The Pelanda hosts, from 11 to 29 April, “Un latinoamericano fra tradizione e contemporaneità”, an exhibition by Alfredo Sosabravo, curated by René Palenzuela, promoted by the Department of Cultural Politics of Roma Capitale - Superintendence of Cultural Heritage, in collaboration with the Embassy of Cuba in Italy. On display about 40 works, including large canvases and sculptures in bronze and glass from Murano by the Cuban artist, a leading figure of Latin American arts. A mixture of Caribbean rhythms and colours of the new world, blending with traditional artistic techniques and ancestral codes.

Music - “La música latina” at the Centrale Montemartini from April 13 to May 5 (every Friday and Saturday), in collaboration with the Embassies of Brazil, Cuba, Honduras, Uruguay in Italy, a journey through Latin American rhythms and sounds. Music composed by Tom Jobim, Chico Buarque, Vinícius and Toquinho, Gilberto Gil.

An important task for IILA that aims at promoting the rich cultural heritage of Latin America and its artistic scene, with a particular attention to the development of talents and skills on both continents, Europe and Latin America.
